Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using StoryNest. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and StoryNest. You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

2. Description of Service

StoryNest allows parents and guardians to create personalised, AI-illustrated children's books. The service includes:

• An AI story generation and illustration pipeline
• A preview and approval workflow
• Digital book download (PDF) upon payment
• Optional print-on-demand physical book fulfilment via Lulu

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating an account
• Only upload photos that you have the right to use (photos you took or have explicit permission to use)
• Not upload photos of individuals without their consent (or without parental consent for minors)
• Not use the service to generate content that is harmful, offensive, or illegal
• Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others

4. Photo and Content Rights

By uploading photos to StoryNest, you confirm that you have the right to use those images and grant StoryNest a limited licence to process them solely for the purpose of generating your personalised book. We do not claim ownership of your photos or the generated book content.

You retain all rights to the generated books created from your content. StoryNest retains the right to use anonymised, non-identifiable examples of generated artwork for service improvement and marketing purposes only if separately consented to.

5. AI-Generated Content

StoryNest uses artificial intelligence to generate story text and illustrations. While we take care to produce high-quality, appropriate content, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, unexpected results, or imperfect character likenesses. We offer a preview and regeneration workflow so you can review the content before purchasing.

StoryNest is not responsible for AI-generated content that does not exactly match your expectations, provided a reasonable preview opportunity has been given.

6. Payment

Prices are displayed in USD. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By completing a purchase you authorise the charge to your chosen payment method.

• Print book (hardcover, shipped): $37.99
• Digital + Print bundle: $42.98

8. Intellectual Property

The StoryNest name, logo, and website design are the property of StoryNest. You may not reproduce or use these without our written permission. The software and systems underlying the service are proprietary to StoryNest.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. StoryNest does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your specific expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryNest's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

10. Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
