Refund Policy

    We want you to be happy with your StoryNest book. This policy explains when refunds are available for each product type.

    Digital Books (PDF Download)

    Because digital books are generated specifically for you and made available for immediate download, we are unable to offer refunds once book generation has begun (i.e. after payment is completed).

    To protect against this, StoryNest provides a full preview of your book before you pay — including sample illustrations and the complete story structure. We encourage you to review the preview carefully and use the free regeneration option if you would like changes before purchasing.

    If your book fails to generate due to a technical error on our end, you are entitled to a full refund. Please contact us within 14 days at support@storynestbook.com with your order details and we will investigate promptly.

    Print Books (Physical Hardcover)

    Print orders are submitted to our print partner (Lulu) after you confirm your shipping address. Refund availability depends on the stage of your order:

    • Before printing begins: A full refund is available. Contact us as soon as possible at support@storynestbook.com and we will attempt to cancel the print job.
    • After printing has begun: We are unable to offer refunds as the book is already in production. You can check your order status on your dashboard.
    • Damaged or incorrect books: If your printed book arrives damaged or with a printing error, please contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost.
    • Lost in transit: If your order has not arrived within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, contact us and we will investigate with our carrier.

    Digital + Print Bundle

    The digital component of a bundle follows the digital refund policy above. The print component follows the print refund policy above.

    How to Request a Refund

    Email us at support@storynestbook.com with:

    • Your account email address
    • Your order ID (found in your confirmation email or dashboard)
    • A brief description of the issue

    We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
